The Camp: Providing great overnight camp adventures for campers and camp counselors, these are brother-sister camps located along the shore of Lake Hubert. Counselors help facilitate top-of-the-line activities in a perfect playground for skill-building, emotional growth & having fun!
The Position: Assist in a specific activity at camp for at least 2 out of 4 activity periods each day while also performing duties as the primary caregivers for their group of 6-9 campers. Responsible for working alongside the Activity Director in terms of planning, teaching, coordinating & guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills while maintaining a safe environment for campers and staff.
The Housing: Approx. five (5) counselors and up to 18 campers live in an on-site cabin. Cabins are completed with a bathroom, with a few having showers as well. Shower houses are located next to cabins for those who do not have any in their cabin.
Wage: $3,100 (depending on program duration, skills & certifications), plus free housing and meals
Work Schedule: One day off per week, plus time off between the two, 4-week camp sessions.
You must meet the following requirements to participate:
-Be between 18 and 38 years old
-Have an intermediate to advanced level of English
-Have experience as a leader or a passion to share with young participants in the program
You will need a passport valid for travel to the USA that expires AT LEAST 6 months after your last day of work, proof of student status, and proof of financial support.
At least one (1) year of childcare experience is preferred. Should have two (2) or more years of experience in teaching their desired activity.
