YMCA of the Rockies - Snow Mountain Ranch offers families and friends the perfect place to gather, explore and connect in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
The Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management Internship is broken down into five phases:
1. Orientation Phase
2. Introduction to Outdoor Education Phase: Learn to teach outdoor education to students and to those who do not have much experience with the outdoors.
3. Day Camp Operations Phase: Learn the daily operations of the Day Camp
4. Family Programs Phase: Develop classes and outdoor activities for families in the conference center, learn to manage the family programs.
5. Craft & Design Center Phase: Learn to teach craft and design skills to kids and families, learn to teach creative growth process, share new ideas with Department director.
Earn 14.65 USD per hour working an average of 32 hours per week.
Shared, dorm style housing is provided at an affordable rate.
You must meet the following requirements to participate:
- Participants between the ages of 18-34
- Participants with advanced English skills
- Participants currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution located outside the USA OR those who have graduated within the last 12 months studying a related field (INTERN)
- Participants who have graduated from a post-secondary institution with at least one year of related work experience outside the USA OR participants with at least 5 years of related work - experience outside of the USA (TRAINEE)
You will need a passport valid for travel to the USA that expires AT LEAST 6 months after your last day of work, professional references, school transcripts, a copy of your diploma if applicable, and proof of financial support.
- The International Trainee and Internship programs are open to all persons who meet the eligibility requirementse above. - Placement depends upon the qualifications of the applicant and departmental needs.
